Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Grieco, serving Central Florida since 1986, is a licensed Psychologist. He earned his B.A. from the University of Miami and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis in 1980. For the next six years, he was Staff Psychologist at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Centers in Columbia, Missouri, and at Bay Pines, Florida. In 1986, he completed a Post-Doctoral Clinical Fellowship in Sex Therapy at the Masters and Johnson Institute in St. Louis. He received training by William Masters, M.D., and staff, the pioneers of sex therapy.
After 20 years in independent private practice, Dr. Grieco joined Psychological Affiliates, providing clinical and forensic services. Clinical services focused on couples and individuals encompassing a full range of marital/relationship issues, sexual dysfunctions, and paraphilias. Forensic services included group and individual therapy for sex offenders on probation along with providing psychosexual evaluations and expert testimony.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Grieco has served as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Rollins College and as Adjunct Instructor at the University of Central Florida (UCF) where he taught Human Sexuality, Marital and Sex Therapy, and other courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Grieco has published articles in professional and peer-reviewed journals on such topics as STI prevention, sexual harassment, quality of life, and psychosexual evaluations. He has also made professional presentations to local, regional, and international audiences and has been a radio and TV guest.
Dr. Grieco is a member of the Florida Psychological Association (FPA) where he has served on the Board of Directors.
Currently, Dr. Grieco is not accepting new therapy clients. He continues to offer psychosexual evaluations, expert testimony, work product reviews, and other forensic services. Dr. Grieco has been an Expert Witness in Orange, Seminole, and surrounding counties and in Federal Court regarding sex offenders and those similarly accused.
